About Lafuma
In 1930, three French brothers, Victor, Alfred, and Gabriel Lafuma began manufacturing and selling goods. Their background was in tanning and saddling, and the brand was born from the invention of the backpack. Their bags were used for many different purposes, including assisting the French Army. The company branched out in 1954 to include the manufacturing of camping furniture, answered by immediate success. The France-based company went international in the early 1970's, and in 1988 they came to the States. Currently, Lafuma Group is focusing their research on new technologies for raw materials by intergrading sustainable development criteria, and product design with focus on ergonomics, practical intelligence, and durability. This "zero gravity" chair is perfect. I ordered it after having back surgery and being told not to sit for more than 15 minutes. The Lafuma lounge chair lets me recline comfortably with no pressue on my back. It's great both indoors and on the deck. It folds up easily and is light enough to move without straining. I love it and will probably buy another one.

The chair is well constructed and holds my 250+ body. I do not feel like it will collapse . I would have liked a wider seat. All in all a good value.

Kind of a silly title line, right? But we must say, we bought our first set of Lafuma lounge chairs when they first were available at a local RV dealership, at least 15 years ago. We still have them, plus a few more. Our original chairs didn't have the comfy padded bottom rail, so I made some out of plush terry towels with velcro to keep them in place. There are many manufacturers copying the Lafuma design, but none are as durable, or comfortable. You cannot go wrong, and the price has remained reasonable as well. Very good company as far as customer service too.

I have lower back problems that make sitting uncomfortable. These chairs are SO comfortable! I can now relax on my pool deck again! They seem very well constructed.
