This chaise lounge is the perfect addition to our game room. It makes playing a video game or watching the big screen tv a pleasure, then after a bit what a treat it is to just close your eyes and take a nap. The storage is great. The most difficult part of putting this together was the fact that the holes for the feet were not visible through the fabric that covered the bottom. This made assemble more difficult.

This lounge chaise was purchased by me for my mom to use in her assisted living apartment. She was very excited for my husband and I to get it assembled, however, the pre-drilled holes did not line up and it was next to impossible to complete the assembly. We had to work on it for nearly 4 hours, taking it apart and putting it back together over and over again, never getting the pieces to correctly line up for assembly. With the price charged fo this product I would expect the quality to be much better. Perhaps the batch that this one came out of was defective, or created incorrectly at the factory...this should be looked into so others do not have the same difficulties and disappointment we experienced. We probably will never use this site again as we do not feel we could trust the product to be of quality.

The look was perfect for the library I am designing. When I read the reviews, I was skeptical due to the numerous comments about difficulty in assembly. It does require two people, as suggested, and we did not have any problem putting this chaise lounge together. I love how it looks. It looks comfy but it is not. But that's OK Probably due to the storage compartment which makes it like sitting on a box cover. Quite sure I won't fall asleep while reading my book!

    Just put the chaise together,which took an hour and a half since the holes don't line up. My husband is extremely handy with tools so he made it work. Looks very nice, the seat is hard as a rock though. I am very disapointed on workmanship,so far. The zipper on the bollard pillow is broken so that you see the stuffing!

    I read all the reviews and questioned this purchase. I have wanted a lounger for six years and this chair was by far the closest to my price range. I felt fairly comfortable that my husband would be able to put it together as well. Upon arrival the feared was true…the pre-cut holes didn't line up. He whipped his drill out and had it assembled by himself in less than an hour. I love the color and the fact that I can store things inside. It fits perfectly in my bedroom and for sitting upright I fit fine (5'4"). If you are hoping to lay flat and take a nap, well keep in mind the head rest is fixed anyhow. Once it was all together we noticed the fabric on the arm of the chair had little white pin holes in it:( Like the fabric had been stretched to far or was wearing very thin. [...]

    I saved over $80.00 by buying my Ashland Chaise Storage Lounger from Hayneedle. I have it in a quiet corner in my bedroom. The second best thing I like about my lounger is the hidden storage space. So far, the only thing that could be corrected, is if I ordered one that was about 5 inches longer.

    Q1: I see that almost all the comments state that the assembly is difficult and holes do not match up. Have you fixed that?

    A: Yes, the location of the pre-drilled holes has been improved.  The feet can now be easily assembled.
